"Developers.dev was the perfect partner for us. They weren't just coders; they were architects and strategists. They took our vision and translated it into a rock-solid platform that scaled flawlessly from our first user to our 500,000th. Their MVP Launch Kit got us to market in under four months, which was critical for securing our Series A funding."
Alex Brand, Founder & CEO, StatDraft
"StatDraft" was a well-funded US startup founded by a team of sports analytics experts. Their vision was to create a next-generation Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) platform that used advanced analytics and a superior user interface to challenge established players like DraftKings and FanDuel. They had the domain expertise and the funding, but needed a technology partner to build a robust, scalable, and compliant product from scratch.
StatDraft needed to launch a high-quality MVP quickly to secure a foothold in the competitive DFS market. The platform had to be highly performant, integrate complex real-time data feeds, include a secure payment system, and be built on an architecture that could scale to handle massive user spikes during major sporting events.
Aggressive 4-month timeline to launch the MVP.
The architecture needed to support hundreds of thousands of concurrent users.
Required robust KYC and geo-fencing capabilities to meet US state-level regulations.
Needed to integrate multiple sports data APIs for real-time, accurate scoring.
We deployed a dedicated "Mobile App MVP Launch Kit" POD for StatDraft. This cross-functional team, consisting of a project manager, two mobile developers (iOS/Android), two backend developers, a UI/UX designer, and a QA engineer, worked as a single, cohesive unit.
We conducted a one-week UI/UX design sprint to finalize the core user flows, followed by intensive two-week development sprints.
We built a serverless backend on AWS using Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB, ensuring automatic scaling and cost-efficiency.
We integrated a third-party KYC provider and built a robust geo-fencing module from day one.
We integrated with Sportradar's real-time data feeds and built a resilient data processing pipeline to handle scoring logic.
A one-week intensive workshop to define the MVP scope and technical architecture.
Created a visually appealing and intuitive interface, optimized for fast decision-making.
Developed native iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin) apps for optimal performance.
Built the serverless infrastructure and developed the core game logic and APIs.
Implemented a rigorous automated and manual testing process to ensure a bug-free launch.
Managed the entire app store submission process and infrastructure deployment on AWS.
The MVP was launched on time and on budget in just 16 weeks.
Acquired over 500,000 registered users within the first year of operation.
The success of the MVP and the platform's robust architecture were key factors in StatDraft securing $15M in Series A funding.
The platform successfully handled over 200,000 concurrent users during the NFL season opener without any downtime.
